How do you deal with difficult co-workers with out quitting your job?

I’ve only been at my job for a couple of months but already some of my co-workers are a mess. They constantly talk about me when I walk pass or I overhear them talking about me when I leave. One in particular keeps finding fault in me and making jokes about me to other workers. They call me ugly and conceited most of the time. Sometimes the one doing it is the boss. It is very frustrating and ignoring them is not helping much.

I needed a few days off work, but I knew the Boss would not allow me to take a leave. I thought that maybe if I acted “CRAZY” then he would tell me to take a few days off. So I hung upside down on the ceiling and made funny noises. My co-worker (who’s blonde) asked me what I was doing. I told her that I was pretending to be a light bulb so that the Boss would think I was “CRAZY” and give me a few days off. A few minutes later the Boss came into the office and asked “What are you doing?” I told him I was a light bulb.

He said “You are clearly stressed out. Go home and recuperate for a couple of days”. I jumped down and walked out of the office. When my co-worker (the blonde) followed me, the Boss asked her”…And where do you think you’re going?”

(You’re gonna love this…..keep going)

She said, “I’m going home too. I can’t work in the DARK!”

My boss has a crush on my colleague and she use that for her advantage?

She is the most junior one in the team. She works for me and my boss. Since we are almost the same age and I have a higher position, she show obviously that she does not like it. It is like a movie. When she is with boss, she behaves very pretty. When she has to interact with me alone, she always give me a bad facial expression. She came to work almost 11:00am everyday. She made a lot of error about work. My boss always find an excuse for her. I made a lot more money than her pulse my other colleagues know this. So, I don’t feel that bad. However, because of that plus my boss is not a smart person, other teams treat our team like a joke. I feel really bad about this. Any recommendation?

How do you handle an office bully who is nice/nasty?

This guy is so smooth it is pathetic. he make a joke out of everything that is a putdown to everyone he can get away with it.. He will talk about a person behind their back, and try to get all to laugh. He will talk about weight, hair, clothes, etc… Yet we watch him suck up to his boss all day. Becuase he is jr management staff we have to deal with him…yet we all know he like a nice/nasty person. How do you get along with that person. Also he does not hesitate to put you down in front of co-workers, children, management, etc. anyone who will listen and laugh along with him.
( I do want to add that everyone seems to think he is funny and will go along with whatever or whoever he is picking on.)
